So, to those who take a stand on either side of the 'Jim Crow Rock' controversy in Dunoon (which is no longer decorated as a 'blackface' characature) here is Jim's cousin, the Tut Tut stone over in Kilcreggan, almost in line of sight over on the next peninsula.

Got round to reading this and now want to feed it piece by piece to our home secretary, not because it will teach her compassion but because it might at very least stop the hateful rhetoric for a few minutes.

She prefers two sugars.

The light of home.

I've been hard at work in the last few weeks getting the garden ready for productivity. Seeds are up, raised beds made ready and already rows of salad are visible in the polytunnel. We will have more outside growing space this year as I put in new beds, and this year we hope to produce enough food to share.

Happy number 55 to the love of me life...

Scouting expedition with Will and James around through the Kyles to the island of Inchmarnoch, looking for a potential wilderness retreat camping spot. It was very lovely.

Winter came, late and lovely, like a last blast of what was, but is no more.
